Warren Buffet On Timing The Markets

I was watching a portion of the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting this weekend and I thought I would share.

Warren Buffett doesn't try to time the stock market, although he does have entry points and price levels appropriate for individual shares. A majority of investors, however, do just the opposite, something that financial planners have always been warning them to avoid, and thus lose their hard-earned money in the process.

  2. Agreed. Holding is hard to do when there's so much negative news out there, but at least if you're investing in index funds, you won't have to worry about any one company like Enron going out of business and you could hold for the long term. Great advice from Mr. Buffet.
