I was watching a portion of the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting this weekend and I thought I would share.
Warren Buffett doesn't try to time the stock market, although he does have entry points and price levels appropriate for individual shares. A majority of investors, however, do just the opposite, something that financial planners have always been warning them to avoid, and thus lose their hard-earned money in the process.

April 2018 Dividend Income
Hey everyone. It's past time for my April dividend update! In April I earned $533.96 which is a bit higher than normal because of some stock that slipped into April. Also in April I purchased another 43 shares of PPL and I actually just purchased another round this week. PPL shares have slid recently and even after a strong earnings report this week it suffered a bit (were seeing a lot of that in the markets). I think were close to a bottom here so I thought it was a good chance to average down a bit. I'm just about break even now for that position.
I made one purchase in April and had no sales.

March 2018 Dividend Income
Hey everyone. It's past time for my March dividend update! This month I earned $385.26 which is a bit lower than last year and last quarter. This was due in large part because of the timing of several dividends slid into April probably due to good friday where the markets were closed. So next month will be an unusually large month as a result.
There's some cheap stocks out there that I am eyeing for my next purchase. XOM, PPL, SO and JNJ are looking attractive here. What stocks are you interested in headed into April?
I made one purchase in March and had no sales.

It looks like the markets have settled down for the moment after a crazy ride of volatility in February. There are still some bargains out there, what stocks do you have on your radar?

January 2018 Dividend Income
Sorry for the delay. It's past time for my January dividend update! For the month I was able to earn $416.77 in dividend income! This is a healthy increase from the $336.41 a 24% increase in fact. That would be great to keep that growth up. What a crazy month in the markets we have so far in February as well. I see Walmart has taken a beating today down over 10%, I think the market was looking for a reason to dump WMT as it has been pretty over bought since this summers pump. If it keeps falling back to the $80's I may have to scoop up some shares.
I made two purchases in January and had no sales.

Hashflare Cloud Mining Update
It was just the other day I posted about what a great deal it was to start bitcoin mining at Hashflare but it looks like Hashflare realized this as well and has raised prices on all bitcoin mining contracts. So if you were lucky enough to join in before they raised prices today you're in luck. The mining contracts were so profitable that you would have met your ROI (return on investment) in about 55 days. Now with the price increase the ROI has moved to around 90 days time. Still fairly good but we'll have to see if they keep prices there. The last time Hashflare raised prices it didn't last long, customers weren't happy with the new price point so they lowered prices again. Well see what happens.

I Started Mining Bitcoins !
Hashflare has 1 year mining contracts available and they are insanely profitable at the moment, you can make your ROI in about 70 days. Bitcoin has been on a tear and I expect that to continue which will only make these contracts all the more profitable. The video below shows how much you can earn with Hashflare but the real power comes with reinvesting your income generated which I have been doing.
I purchased 7 TH/s of mining power which cost me $1050 and in 4 days I already have over 7.5 Th/s through reinvesting. My plan is to reinvest for 180 days and then begin to take profits every other day. So after 180 days I will take my profits one day then the next I will reinvest and so on. That way I can realize profits and continue to grow my mining power at the same time.
Of course none of this is without risk, Bitcoin's price could retreat or collapse and I would lose money. That is a risk I am willing to take, and you should never risk more than you are willing to lose in the first place. Don't go crazy spending your mortgage money or taking out loans on this stuff.
Anyway if you would like to give Hashflare a try here is the link. - Visit Hashflare

In July I sold my shares of Avista since it was being bought out by another company and it drastically shot up in price close to the actual buyout price. Dividend Update - February 2017
It's time for my February dividend update! Actually I'm pretty late posting this as I've been lazy in my posting. Anyway my income for the month was $319.44, which is an increase of 10% over last quarter. That would be great if I could have that type of growth every quarter!
Last month I made two purchases and I made one sale which I've listed below.
February Stock Sells
- Tompkins Financial (TMP) - 45 shares @ $89.65 = $4026.16
- Cisco (CSCO) - 32 shares @ $31.56 = $1017.92
- Verizon (VZ) - 81 shares @ $49.41 = $4010.21

I used the proceeds to pay off my mortgage and I have now started to reinvest in Realty Income again (this time in a Roth IRA tax advantaged account ).

Recent Sell - Tompkins Financial (TMP)
Today was a rare day for me. I sold one of my positions completely. It's been a long time since I've sold one of my stocks and I don't plan on making a habit of this but when circumstances change so dramatically in such a short time I can't help but to evaluate and take action if I fell it is warranted.
This time around an old friend of mine in Tompkins Financial (TMP) was on the chopping block. Tompkins Financial Corporation is a small, diversified financial services company based in Ithaca, New York with banking branches across New York and Pennsylvania.
My decision to sell wasn't because of an accounting scandal or poor management. Quite the contrary and through no fault of their own TMP has simply become grossly overvalued.
As you can see the stock has made quite a run in the last couple of years, nearly doubling since I purchased it in 2014. I kinda wish it had not made such a run so I could keep buying at a better yield, but now the yield is at 2% and the last dividend raise was a modest 2.3% raise when they typically raise 5% or so. TMP has very steadily growing earnings and even through the financial crisis earnings grew and the stock performed better than any other financial entity I can think of. That being said the valuation has grown far in excess of earnings growth and I am going to wait for the inevitable pullback before buying again.
With the funds from the sale I purchased 81 shares of Verizon (VZ) which offers a better yield and is a far better value at this time.

12 Undervalued Dividend Growth Stocks
I just wanted to share a nice roundup of attractive dividend growth stocks that Chuck Carnevale compiled over at Seeking Alpha. These are stocks which Chuck feels are technically undervalued currently and he gives his reasons in the video below. I had two of these on my radar for my next purchase.
Here is a quick chart with Chucks metrics.
