Dividend Update - May 2017



It's time for my May dividend update! For the month of May I was able to earn $366.90 in dividend income. This is a YOY increase of nearly 22% which I'm very happy with. Next month looks to be even better.

Last month I made one purchase and I made no sales. I also received 3 dividend raises.

  • Cisco (CSCO) - 31 shares @ $31.63 = $987.48

  • WGL Holdings (WGL) - From .488 to .51 (+4.5%)
  • Proctor & Gamble (PG) - From .67 to .69 (+3%)
  • Peoples United Financial (PBCT) -  From .17 to .173 (+1.7%)
May Dividend Income
  • AT&T (T) - $110.25
  • WGL Holdings - (WGL) - $38.76
  • Verizon - (VZ) - $60.06
  • General Mills - (GIS) - $46.08
  • Clorox - (CLX) - $15.20
  • Vanguard Long-Term Bond ETF (BLV) - $3.46
  • Proctor & Gamble (PG) - $33.10
  • Abbott Labs (ABT) - $7.16
  • Peoples United Financial (PBCT) - $38.47
  • Realty Income (O) - $3.85
  • Powershares Muni Bond ETF (PZA) - $10.51
Total Dividends May 2017: - $366.90

  1. Nice May totals...I need to grab a few shares of GIS and O. They are popular buys lately at current levels and would certainly help out our FEB/MAY/AUG/NOV dividends. :)

  4. A lot of great names paying you last month. Nice total for May and awesome year over year growth. Stock purchases, increases and reinvestment all help move that snowball along. Keep up the good work.

    1. Truth be told I have been saving cash as well. I still do my usual ~$1000-$1200 month purchases but after that my extra cash is going into my bank.

      I do expect to buy a new car and by 'new' I just mean a newer car than my old 2002 ford focus which is still running great but one day it won't be and I want to be ready. So I'm saving some money for that and some other upgrades around the house.
